Whether you look into history or into actual events: War is not something that just happens. It always has a longer or shorter ‘prequel’ that is determined by — greed. In some cases by desperation… of a country’s leader.
Greed? Yes, because there’s a lot of money involved, one way or another.
Surprisingly it has been proven more than once and just recently again that war is not ‘natural’; it’s not something humans will revert to whenever they get the chance!
It’s not part of our genome, to kill or torture each other.
Desperation of a leader of a country?
Then there’s the recurring pattern of leaders of state, kings, emperors, dictators, you name them, to start a war to gather their people behind them again — against a ‘common enemy’. To divert attention from internal affairs and their (looming, huge) issues.
Since when was an enemy really ‘common’? Propaganda can be a strong ‘weapon’ preparing people for the suffering and sacrifice.
But that does not ‘cover’ or describe the roots, the real reasons, of war:
There are interests involved, and they are often rather ‘un-common’, because only a few people already very rich, will become even richer.
Actual fact, check out websites: For years all those companies involved in producing goods for the military, navy, or army have been stating the fact that times were good for their business — looking up, as it were…
But, war means death! Of so many innocent people just living their lives. In Ukraine, Africa, Gaza — and elsewhere.
No to war, now! Again, and again, and again. NO.
