This little gem of a movie is based on a true story: A struggling writer in New York during the 1940s-1960s orders second hand books from a store in London, England.
She is the writer, he is the manager of the bookstore’s branch catering to her needs. Letters and books go back and forth for over two decades.
Anyone who loves books as much as I do will enjoy this: There is no bloodshed, no car crashes, nothing going up in thunder, flames and smoke. The suspense you may feel comes from rich ideas and feelings inside.
