CEASEFIRE between Israel and Iran – Negotiating has Age-old Rules – Time for Patience, Wisdom and Knowledge

For hours now the ceasefire has been declared. Israel and Iran have stopped attacking. Negotiating is the next step.
To think that all of this could have been prevented, had not Trump cancelled the contracts with Iran on Uranium enrichment control, is almost inconceivable.

Trust is something that has to be built and be confirmed in private as well as diplomatic relations. Not just once. But continually.

That US-president Trump now starts to position himself as the great saviour is only again true to form: ‘Make it up, say it often enough, some of it will stick.’

Iran is, due to its tradition of thousands of years existent long before Islamic times, a country with ample reason for pride – and knows resilience in the face of adversity only to well.
They will never stoop nor give in – or up – but stay the course to the end, if necessary.

Iran is by itself a country not only rich in culture and arts, it is also rich in oil, gas and soils which practically beckon outside powers to try conquering. They did that for hundreds of years.

The present government in Iran rules with cruelty and suppression internally, that is no point of discussion or even a question.

But there is more to be lost if the idea should be to (mistakenly) meddle with internal affairs of the country. It seems that some sensible counselling has been going on in the background now.

I would wish with all my heart that one day Iran finds its own strength to generate a more free and similar to democratic ideas wielded government and society.
It will not be a copy of Western societies, most probably, but according to the country’s culture something special, fitting its customs and traditions.

Over all of this we should remember too, that the people in Gaza still are suffering. Reports are most tragic and there should be put an end to the reign of someone like Netanyahu, who apparently does not see the limits power should impose on its holder.
That he is so friendly with Trump, beyond the tradition of special support of Israel by the US,  is no wonder.
Yet:
At the moment signs are more hopeful.

War is no destiny! Neither is it inborn to mankind. It does not happen overnight, especially not in these postmodern times.
Let’s remember that.

Human beings have wonderful potential for peace and coexistence.

When Corruption Meets Power: Trump, Netanyahu and the Past — Future?

Trump acts true to form: Viewed in retrospect it looks like so much window dressing on the one hand and — more or less  — cunning plans on the other:

    • Cancel the contracts with Iran on Uranium enrichment control a few years ago. Which had been reached after 10 years of negotiation.
    • Let Netanyahu in Israel escalate the situation in Gaza to breaking point to prick the Hamas and other Islamic groups — to breaking point.
    • Coldly let them do their work of killing and hostage taking as a sort of revenge.
    • Pressure the EU into contracts/agreements by threatening them with high tariffs for months.
    • Bully and push everyone to any odd lengths.
    • ‘Give’ Ukraine to Putin to make him stay put — and quiet.
    • Where’s China…? Another blackmailed nation…?
    • Let Netanyahu of Israel start a war on Iran to make matters even worse.
    • Call Iran a dangerous regime — when the USA are the only ones ever to have used nuclear bombs?
    • “Weapons of mass destruction”? It’s so obvious it would be ridiculous in any other circumstance:
      • The last Shah left Iran almost 40 years ago.
      • He had been supported as a follower of the USA, and in return sold them oil and gas at lowest possible prices.
      • The present regime does not.
      • Saddam Hussein of Iraq similarly had been instated and supported by the USA.
      • Then he started to cut loose…
      • As preparation for the 3rd Gulf war George Bush jr. declared and had everyone else believe it — that there were huge amounts of poison gas weapons there;
        • images from bombings later seemed to show precise and exact hits of ‘military installations’ and weapon factories, only. Well? Rather not…
      • In view of the fact that the USA are (in)famously in dire need of cheap petrol — and have been so at least for decades — it’s not surprising, all of this.
      • Control of all the oil wells of the Near East…?
      • ‘Defending their interests…’? ‘I beg your pardon’? Bullying, blackmail, extortion.
      • “…true to form…”

I am indeed grateful that there are some people and leaders of state left who remember what being human means…

“Weapons of Mass Destruction” – The Trump-Bush Similarity – Then Iraq and Now Iran: There’s Oil There…

When you look at some of the news in relation to the recent strikes from Israel into Iran, at recent Trump ‘messages’ – you cannot help but wonder…

Who is using whom here?

When in the early 1990s the 2nd Gulf war started – and when finally in 2003 more strikes against Iraq led to Saddam Hussein’s capture and death, it was clear already that contrary to US-interests Hussein after decades of support from the US and oil prices to their advantage started to cut loose.

So, to the world the US announced that there were “weapons of mass destruction” in Iraq to be taken care of. And thus they went in. The results can be seen to this day: Iraq after more than 20 years is still struggling to get to its feet.

For Hussein in Iraq it was his ‘Swan song’: Iraq has too much oil for the US to ‘let him go’.

The same holds true for Iran.

The whole of these operations and war have been at least partly prepared for during the first stay in office of that sorry excuse for a man called Trump.

He cancelled the contracts with Iran that had been reached after 10 years of negotiation to control Uranium enrichment.

Netanyahu is proven to have needed support to stay in office in Israel. He has for many years driven the situation in Gaza to breaking point  – the age-old method of kings as well as dictators and other leaders of state to cover up internal problems with a war in foreign countries; in order to try and ‘unite’ people behind them again.

Not only does the Israeli people not want all of it!
All the cruelty and killing could have been prevented. Long ago!
And still, my greetings also to all the good people in the US, because there are more against Trump’s politics every day! And they protest, loudly and consistently.

But, here comes the ‘scoop’:

Should this war lead to the downfall of the present regime in Iran, the ‘olden times’ of suppression of Iran by the US will return:
Because, just as during the regime of the last Shah in Iran, the US received the lowest possible prices for oil and gas in return for their support.

Blackmail. Extortion. That’s what this is. Shame on Trump, Netanyahu and also Putin, should he support them.

US-American Politics are Policies… Science — or Not…?

These days the next step in destabilizing a democracy of sorts is being executed:
Famous universities are not only denied the government funds they have a right to — they also are severely pressured by hollow statements and threats:

That Israel’s hardliners, most prominent Netanyahu, are driving a cruel and hard ‘bargain’ in order to cover up their dwindling support among voters is clear to all who have studied matters for some time.

That other people protest openly against the Gaza politics is only to be expected. To put that in one with anti-Semitism is ridiculous.
Whatever your creed, colour or conviction, you are not to kill, harass or torture other people. Period.

The present criminal holding the office of president in the US, called Trump, has together with his ‘consort’, of course, prepared this for years.

What it amounts to is this: Destabilizing the legal, the administrative and the scientific pillars of a democracy are in keeping with his complaints of alleged ‘fake news’ whenever media report facts about him that are diminishing to his image as a hero — when in fact he is a convicted criminal.

Do not let them — or him — fool you: He is neither stupid nor insane: Just true to his past and ‘consorts’: incredibly greedy and selfish.

Inexplicably Close? – The Trump-Putin Axis Explained

Money, more money, profits… (Image licensed via Adobe CC)

All of you who are wondering and perhaps even seem to be challenged in believing it: Trump and Putin actually and truly are close.

Why?

How can it possibly be that a fiend such as Putin is close to someone like Trump, after all the president of the leading nation of the ‘free world’?

It’s basically three principles that apply:

    • “Cui bono?” – The Latin phrase is age old and describes what you would look for in most questions of business and politics to get a clear picture: “Who benefits?”
    • There’s history to rely on for similar examples: The Roman Empire especially and its several emperors in its later stages; corruption was common then.
    • Trump as well as Putin are very much alike in terms of personality: They crave attention and power, to different degrees. They need money and more money to achieve that.
      • That’s their basic common denominator or ground.

One proof was presented at the time (2016 US-presidential elections) by two newspapers, one of which cannot be trusted these days anymore because it was acquired by amazon’s founder. The proof was confirmed by the Pulitzer Prize committee (among others).
The New York Times still stands like a beacon, as yet.

Also please take into account that war especially in modern times is a means to an end. Cruel, but just that. Just as Netanyahu first aggravated and then used the conflict about Gaza to cover up the fact that the numbers of his votes were decreasing fast at the time – and the support for his internal politics declining.

For all of my readers who feel discouraged in the face of adversity and the abyss of human depravity, do not despair:

We are not the only ones worrying! The state of the world has been better – but it also has been worse, in the course of history!

Just think what the 30 Years’ War meant to Europe at the time!

Remember: Remind your democratically elected representatives of their tasks – and of what you really want.

Keep at it – and don’t forget about the breaks!
